Department Head, with leadership, strategic development, personnel, budgetary and sales and marketing responsibilities.

Educationally focussed role, responsible for educational assessment & testing development together with data analysis for schools across UK. This role involves regular interaction with educational professionals at school, MAT, local authority, Higher Education and government level.

Responsibility for company bid responses equivalent to several £m business generation annually.

Previous roles for same organisation, head of department with responsibility for Educational Leadership Development on behalf of Non-governmental organisations such as NCSL and the Teacher Training Agency (school improvement and CPD focussed) including provision regionally for NPQH, NPQSL and NPQML, nationally for Local Leaders of Education.

Currently Chief People Officer at Alfa Systems, a leading asset finance software company. Responsible for leading Alfa’s global people activities in support of creating a high-performance culture, across attraction, recruitment, development, retention and engagement of the best talent.

A School Governor at Grove Road Primary School for 3 years prior to joining Ridgeway Learning Partnership in 2017.

Working as part of the Leadership team she takes responsibility to understand the pulse of the organisation allowing insight to develop tailored interventions in support of business strategy.

Good judgement on people and situations bringing valuable insights to drive change and commercial improvements.


Appointed 1 January 2020 by the Trustees.

Qualified teacher with a post-graduate qualification in educational leadership and management. She has extensive experience as a senior leader, headteacher and governor in schools and within a local authority.

Currently a very experienced independent school improvement adviser, supporting and advising a diverse range of schools and academies. Helen's particular areas of expertise are leadership and management including safeguarding, teaching and learning, school improvement and provision for vulnerable pupils. 

A lead Ofsted inspector and is accredited to inspect special educational needs and/or disabilities in mainstream and special schools.

SUE WHEATLEYMrs susan wheatley trustee

Appointed 8 November 2017 by the Diocese.

Servied as police officer with 2 forces until 2008.

Worked ostly in Detective roles ending as Borough commander for St Albans Division.

Managed staffing of 200 including budgets and interaction with multi agencies.

Trained as an assessor and verifier of NVQ and managed an investigation companhy looking into fraud within education industry, colleges and DVSA dealing with safeguarding and sexual offences with driving instructors.
